Good To Know:

We flew into Spokane and rented a car.The airport is small but has good service from several carriers.

It’s about a 40 minute drive from the airport into Coeur D’Alene, ID

Stay

The Coeur dAlene Resort

A full service resort with pools, golf, spa, meeting rooms, restaurants and a range of room types.

Homeaway:

This is the house we stayed in: Float Home on the Coeur d”Alene River

It’s a great little house, about an hour south of the town of Coeur d”Alene, close to the town of Harrison, ID.

Harrison is also quirky, with a coffee shop, excellent ice cream store, a couple of restaurants and art gallery.

Fishing Guides:

Coeur D’Alene has several good outfitters:

We used Castaway Fly Fishing Shop which has  concessions on the rivers for drift boat fly fishing.

Other outfitters, such as Orvis Northwest Outfitters   does wading trips for fly fishers.
