Stone Bridge in Paris

The Pont au Change crosses the Seine River in Paris near the Conciegerie. The bridge was named for the money changers and goldsmiths who had their offices on it in the 1200s. This iteration of the bridge was built by Napoleon III in 1858 and bears his insignia. Victor Hugo had Inspector Javert jump off this bridge to his death in Les Miserables. The design is best seen from a Seine River Cruise, one of the fun things to do in Paris! I like seeing one of my initials on a massive bridge!
