Welcome to the 2023 Edition of Molly’s Road Show Blog!
As we return to our travels and process living with Covid-19, please keep yourself safe and follow local health guidelines. As the world continues to rebound from pandemic conditions, remember to be flexible, supportive, and cheerful. We all want to travel safely and well!
This month, we are taking a deeper look at travel in Flanders, the northern half of Belgium. If you are looking for great food, fascinating history, and European culture, as well as easy accessibility to the region, Flanders is for you!
Wander Wednesday
“Not all those who wander are lost.”- J.R.R. Tolkien
Brugges: a city of canals and lace. And art, and chocolate, and frites. The city is famous for being a movie set (In Bruges-2008 among others). This is a city in Flanders everyone should see. The only Michelangelo sculpture that left Italy during his lifetime is here. The sculpture was stolen in 1944 and recovered by the Monuments Men in 1945. You can take a romantic canal cruise to get a different perspective of the medieval buildings. I went to 6 museums in a day here, taking advantage of the Brugges city pass, and loved every minute of it!
