“Not all those who wander are lost.”- J.R.R. Tolkien

As we look at where we can travel now-and don’t we want to get out there again?-I’m showing photos of places a little off the beaten path. You can still feed your wanderlust by dreaming and planning your future adventures. Stay safe and healthy and let me know if you have questions or want help with your next trip.

Largest kauri tree NZ

This massive tree is called Tane Mahuta and is found on the North Island of New Zealand. It is anywhere from 2000-4000 years old. It’s hard to get a sense of the size of this tree, but look at the people in the forefront of the photo. They look quite small! The largest Kauri tree in New Zealand, Tane Mahuta is also culturally important to the Maori people. This week marks Matariki, the Maori New Year, a time to prepare for spring planting and to have family gatherings. Tau Hou hari!
