Wander Wednesday

“Not all those who wander are lost.”- J.R.R. Tolkien

The Covid-19 pandemic prevented us from traveling the world the way we used to. While I am not advocating that you travel now, if you choose to travel, please heed government guidelines for health and safety. Be sure to check the health situation in the place you are going and be prepared with appropriate supplies. Remember the health measures that you take to protect yourself also protect those around you! If you can’t travel now, you can still dream about where to go when you can!

This month I’m showing photos related to special November days.

November is NaNoWriMo-or National Novel Writing Month. While I haven’t written a novel, I’ve certainly written several novel’s worth of travel journals. Pictured is the journal I kept on my first trip to Europe way back when.  I  reread my loopy handwriting and laughed at the comments I made after seeing the iconic sites. Like the day we went to the Sistine Chapel-“it was dark and crowded and I forgot my glasses, but it was cool anyway.” On your next trip, bring along a small notebook and record your experiences and thoughts. Years later, you will be glad you did!

Where would you like to be wandering?
