2024 is rapidly coming to a close, but there is still plenty of time to get out there and explore.

Wander Wednesday

“Not all those who wander are lost.”- J.R.R. Tolkien

penguin colony in South Georgia Island

The best thing about a trip to Antarctica is seeing the penguins! South Georgia Island has some of the largest penguin breeding colonies anywhere. These King penguins are the second largest species and create gigantic breeding colonies. The brown fluffy ones are the babies growing bigger every day and screaming to be fed. When they get their sleek feathers, they will set out for long sea voyages, coming back in the Antarctic spring to nest and raise young.
