Photos this month are from Italy!
Italy is one of the most popular places for Americans, and I have loved all my trips there.

Wander Wednesday
“Not all those who wander are lost.”- J.R.R. Tolkien
If you are excited about ancient history, then a trip to Italy is for you! There are many places to see Roman and Greek ruins dating back thousands of years. One could never see them all! This photo is from the Villa Romana Del Casale in southern Sicily, a large villa from 300 AD with over 3,500 mosaics throughout many restored rooms. The tiger mosaic was one of several animal designs throughout the property. Archeologists and historians are still uncovering and researching this area. It turns out that this house was buried in a mudslide in the 1400s, and that’s what preserved so much of the detailed decorations. Sicily is a fascinating part of Italy and should not be missed!
